Hello lovelies! Sorry I’ve been MIA the past little while, lots going on both at home and with the day job! Baby countdown is definitely on and that means Mama has to get through her never ending to do list. It’s amazing how much one can get accomplished when they have an imminent deadline. I think with a deadline and a smartphone I could take over the world.
Anyhoo, since the little one (with lots of stuff) will soon be taking over our second bedroom, that means the office is having to relocate to our sunroom. Just to remind you what the space looks like, I’ve included the floor plan below.
The space is very bright and while I love the sun, I prefer not to bake when working/surfing/blogging during the day so I’m thinking floor to ceiling white linen drapes will play very nicely with the dark wood floors. Some storage, and a few blingy accessories with a Miami feel is the look I’m going for. I’ve put together a little mood board to show you what I’m thinking….
The curtains, lamp, computer and table are currently existing in the space from my old office. The brass wall sculpture was a vintage find at a local market several years ago and has lived in various rooms in my condo – love! Pillows were a steal from this Etsy shop and are en route as we speak. The brass door knockers will make great handles on the Pax wardrobe I’ve been using for storage, very Mary Mcdonald! The metallic cowhide has not yet been sourced but a little birdie told me that Homesense may have some of these beauties come Fall. Definitely keeping my eyes peeled for one of those! I also have some vintage brass chairs (not currently shown) that will be recovered in an ivory croc embossed hide with just a touch of gold. They are dreamy..
As the line of sight from the front door goes all the way to the office, I wanted it to be a bright and airy space – a little oasis if you like. I can’t work in a dreary office and shouldn’t our work spaces be inspiring as well?
