Feathering the Nest – The Foyer

I’ve always heard about the crazy rush of nesting that happens to some women during their pregnancies.  Well, let me tell you, I have been nesting my ass off!  I have a ‘honey do’ list as long as my arm that we are slowly working our way through.  Holding up everything right now is the installation of of our hardwood floors which are (fingers crossed) being installed next week.

The great thing about all the nesting that is happening is that I will have tons to share!  First up is the foyer which is getting some freshening up.  The dresser is existing in the space and will get a wee bit of a facelift.

Gorgeous peacock wallpaper will add some drama to the space.  The West Elm rug adds a bit of interest without competing too much with the wallpaper.  The mirror will stay as is and is currently in the space.  The verdigris brass hardware is from Lee Valley Tools and was bought on clearance over a year ago.  Nothing like an impending deadline (Oct 21!) to get a project completed!

Thanks Pam! It’s been a fairy blank slate for a while and it needed some love. This is the first of a series of mini makeovers that have been on the shelf for a while but all must be completed before baby. Especially if I’m going to be at home looking at it for a year! I also have an adorable brass chandy that I got from Tim which has to be rewired. Will definitely share photos once complete!

Hope things are well with you… Sounds like you’re having a busy summer!!
